In 2008, Deakin Anime Club has begun teaming up with various
anime-related businesses in order to provide extra benefits and goodies
for our members. Below are just some of the sponsors and benefits we've
secured so far, with more potentially on the way.
:: Madman Entertainment
Madman
Entertainment are pretty much synonymous with anime in
Australia. Accounting for 98% of the anime DVD market, chances are if
have an anime DVD, it's from Madman. Madman of course offer more than
anime DVDs - Cartoons, Manga, Merchandise, Asian Cinema, Sports and
Independent Films are just some of the other areas they cover.
All DAC members are entitled to a 15% discount across the entire range
of Madman products. This discount is accessed as a part of our monthly
orders, the first of which will be operating in early March, so stay
tuned to find out how you can make the most of it!
:: Animavericks
What started as a magazine project for the students over at Monash Caufield Animation Club
has grown into so much more. Animavericks
boasts the title of Australia's 'Official Anime Magazine'. Since 2005,
the publication has continued to grow, establishing itself as a premier
media hub for those interesting in anime, manga and j-pop.
Club members can enjoy access to discounts with their subscriptions.
Animavericks have also donated some previous issues for members to have
a read through. Details on the discount will come soon.
