DAC is one of the most active clubs at Deakin University. We have regular screening sessions which run every Friday.
In addition, throughout the year special events are held such as trivia nights, asian movie & drama screenings, marathons and so on.
Events for 2011 are currently being compiled. Check back here later to see what we have in store.
Our screening sessions are where it's all happening. Every Friday, we meet in a university lecture theatre to sit back, relax and enjoy some anime to start off the weekend.
Throughout the university trimester, we show several complete anime series from start to finish. Sometimes if a series is particularly long, it may extend across more than one trimester. Additionally, if a series proves popular enough a sequel series may be screened later.
Regular Friday Screenings will not run on Fridays where the university is closed, or when another event is running e.g. trivia. During the night, we will have a small break for dinner, so remember to pack something to eat or bring money to purchase food from the nearby shops.
Details for our current screening trimester are below.
The Time/Date: Fridays, from 6pm
The Place: LT5 (Building B, Level 3), Deakin University Burwood Campus
Please note that we will be taking a breaks on public holidays. Check the forums, website or Facebook page to be up to date on when we're returning.
Details on the anime we're screening are provided to the right.

In the western part of Tokyo is Academy City, so-called because 80% of its 2.3 million inhabitants are students. These students undergo a special curriculum designed to develop psychic abilities and, depending on their abilities, they are grouped into 6 categories, i.e. Level 0 (no ability) to Level 5 (super ability). Kamijou Touma is one such student. Although he is classed as a Level 0, he actually possesses the power known as Imagine Breaker which can cancel any and all powers. Over summer break, using his Imagine Breaker, he had first saved the nun Index from the magicians pursuing her, and then assisted the Level 5 Electro-master Misaka Mikoto in her fight against the strongest among Level 5, the Accelerator. Finally, Touma saved the world by averting the magic spell Angel Fall. - AniDB
